Photo Storytelling:
This course explores contemporary approaches to visual storytelling through still photography. Students will use DSLR cameras to create powerful nonfiction narratives, focusing on character-driven storytelling, visual composition, and ethical reporting.
Through projects including editorial illustration, environmental portraiture, and a long-form photographic documentary, students will learn how to produce stories that engage audiences and reflect the complexity of the human experience. A key element of the course is gaining sustained access to a single subject or community, allowing for deeper narrative development.
