High-risk infant care across NICU, early intervention, and first-year follow-up
Introduction
Molly, an infant born at 28 weeks gestation to parents Sara and Jason, is at the center of this interprofessional case collaboration. This case study examines Molly’s journey across three key phases:
- Molly’s first few weeks in the NICU
- Molly’s transition from NICU to home-based early intervention services
- Follow-up at Molly’s first birthday
Purpose
Explore interprofessional roles in the care of a high-risk infant. You will reflect on your own professional scope while examining the roles of other team members.
